THERE ARE MANY COMMANDER TRACK SYSTEMS. WHICH MODEL SHOULD I CHOOSE ?

Each system has its advantages. Your dealer can steer you in the right direction based on your use, the season and your vehicle.

You can also use our sorting tool on the Products page

ARE THERE ANY TRACK SYSTEMS FOR SUMMER ?

The TREX and XTR models are built to withstand summer use.

HOW DO I KNOW IF A TRACK SYSTEM FITS MY VEHICLE ?

Application charts are available in the KIMPEX ATV catalogue (hard copy or online). If you are not sure, your dealer can assist you.

WHAT IS THE WEIGHT OF A TRACK SYSTEM ?

Depending on the system you are looking for, it will be about 140-160 kg (300-350 lbs) for an ATV and 180-200 kg (400-450 lbs) for a UTV.

DOES A TRACK SYSTEM LEAD TO A DECREASE IN SPEED ?

Due to the ground surface they cover, tracks have more adherence than wheels. To use this advantage and turn it into a traction advantage, more torque is required. The track system is therefore configured to increase the torque transmitted to the ground, thereby reducing speed compared to what is shown on the tachometer (real speed = 66% tachometer speed).

Note that this is an average ratio as the technology applied to the newest track kits like Commander WS4 and WSS4 reduces the loss of speed.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO INSTALL A TRACK SYSTEM ?

Upon first installation, some additional adjustments are necessary to ensure that the configuration is optimal for your vehicle. So a minimum of 90 minutes must be expected for the first installation. For subsequent installations, allow for 60 minutes.

To make sure your Commander track kit is properly calibrated, we strongly recommend that it is installed by professionals from the dealership. For a list of nearby retailers, visit the Find a dealer page.

IS THERE A TRACK SYSTEM FOR A UTV ?

Certainly, the TREX UTV and the WSS4 are products especially designed for the strongest vehicles in the recreational line.
